COOKIES: INFORMATION WHICH IS AUTOMATICALLY STORED ON THE CUSTOMER´S COMPUTER

We often use cookies. Cookies do not damage your computer and do not contain viruses. Cookies are used to make our online presence more user-friendly, more effective and safer. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer, saved by your browser.

Most of cookies that we use are "session cookies". Our CMS system "Dia.Log" uses a standard PHP session cookie (PHPSESSID) that is automatically deleted when your browser is closed.

You can configure your browser to inform you about the use of cookies so that you can decide on a case-by-case basis whether to accept or reject a cookie. Alternatively, your browser can be configured to automatically accept cookies under certain conditions or to always reject them, or to automatically delete cookies when closing your browser. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of this website.

Cookies which are necessary to allow electronic communications or to provide certain functions you wish to use (such as the shopping cart) are stored pursuant to Art. 6 paragraph 1, letter f of GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of cookies to ensure an optimized service provided free of technical errors. If other cookies (such as those used to analyze your surfing behavior) are also stored, they will be treated separately in this privacy policy.

WHAT DATA IS COLLECTED AND FOR WHAT PURPOSE DOES ASECOS USE YOUR DATA?

As a matter of principle, you can visit our website without disclosing your personal data to us. However we require you to register for certain services on our website (e.g. transmission of a configuration), when we will ask for personal data such as your name and e-mail address. This data is called inventory data.

Whenever possible we give you the opportunity to decide whether you want to disclose your data to us. However sometimes data is collected automatically. For example, your computer automatically sends us information when you use our website. This data is called usage data.

To achieve the best possible transparency when handling your data, in the following section we differentiate between usage data and inventory data.

USAGE DATA
Usage data are data that we process and store in an anonymised and pseudonymised form within the applicable legal framework. These are generally technical data that are often collected through automatic means. Our website provider automatically collects and stores information in server log files which your browser automatically transfers to us. These include:

  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system used
  • Website which linked you to our page (Referrer URL)
  • Websites which you visit
  • Date and time of your access
  • Your internet protocol (IP) address

We use these technical data in an anonymised way, purely for statistical purposes, in order to continually optimise our internet presence and to enable us to provide an error-free website and create an even more attractive internet service. We would also like to ensure improved user-friendliness.

These data are stored on secured systems separate from other personal information. The data cannot give information referring back to any individual.

The basis for data processing is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, which allows the processing of data to fulfill a contract or for measures preliminary to a contract.

PERSONAL DATA
Inventory data are data that we collect and use with your consent in order to provide service provisions requested by you, process your configuration orders and to enable us to respond to your individual contact requests.

Data generated from e-mail inquiries to the info@asecos.com  e-mail as well as from the configuration requests and from all other on-line forms are recorded in the asecos CRM system

Your personal data are stored by us for the purposes of request processing and in case of any follow-up requests, with the following deletion periods:

  • until you request for us to delete the data;
  • until you revoke your consent to store your data;
  • once storage periods expire under the applicable commercial and tax laws; or
  • 6 months from the date of the defined purpose of the data no longer applying.

In the following section, we will explain in detail where personal data are collected on the www.asecos-configurator.com  website and how they are handled. For the data collection on other websites of the asecos GmbH, the data protection notices defined there apply.

DATA FROM CONFIGURATION REQUESTS
With the safety cabinet configurator from asecos, you can individually configure your safety cabinet including interior fittings, dimensions and design. Then, the desired product is visualized and a quote can be requested directly. Obligatory fields are marked as such and ensure that we can contact with you.

  • Your request (quote request, specialist advice, product enquiry, request to receive newsletter)
  • Title
  • Surname
  • First name
  • Company address: Company name, street, post code, town/city
  • E-mail address

All other data relating to you is voluntary.

As asecos products are sold through authorized specialist dealers, you can use the input form to name your preferred specialist dealer in addition to your personal information. With the sending of the form, you expressly consent to the forwarding of your data to the specialist dealer for the purpose of quote creation. Unless you have specified a preferred specialist dealer, we will forward your request, including the personal data you provided, to a suitable asecos partner. The specialist dealer will provide you with a non-binding quote according to your configuration and, if necessary, contact you additionally. You can withdraw the consent at any stage. For this, for example, an informal message via e-mail to info@asecos.com. is sufficient. In this case, asecos will refrain from transmission of your data or, if the transmission has already taken place, will work towards the deletion of your data held by the relevant specialist dealer.

The personal data collected by us are stored and only used for the purpose as indicated by you and where applicable for the usage or transmission to third parties to the extent you have given consent for this.

Any data transfer to asecos is secured. asecos uses the SSL (secure socket layer) transport protocol, which is currently considered as secure and meets the recommendations of the German Federal Office for Information Security ("Bundesamtes für Sicherheit in der Informationstechnik": BSI). Your data are secured at all times against unauthorised access.

We will process any data you enter onto the contact form only with your consent per Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR. You may revoke your consent at any time. An informal email to info@asecos.com making this request is sufficient. The data processed before we receive your request may still be legally processed.

CALLBACK SERVICE
To offer you the chance to request that one of our staff calls you back as part of our callback service, you can get in touch with us using the callback form. In order to process your callback request, the following obligatory data are collected:

  • Name
  • Telephone number
  • Desired date for callback
  • Post code, country
  • Your request (quote request, specialist advice, product enquiry)

If you do get into contact with us using the callback service form and organize a telephone callback from us, a CSV file will be written to our web server with this data. We guarantee strictly confidential handling of your data and use your personal data exclusively for the purposes of processing your callback request.

PARTICIPATION IN ONLINE SURVEYS

In order to get direct feedback concerning the satisfaction of our customers and prospective customers with our products and services, and to improve the user-friendliness of our website, we occasionally make use of surveys on the asecos configurator website.

At the conclusion of the survey we also ask for further information about the participants in order to also incorporate social factors into the results and thus to improve the evaluation.

The following personal data are supplied voluntarily:

  • Title
  • Name
  • First name
  • Company address: Company, street, post code, place
  • E-mail address

The data entered in the survey form are processed exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 section 1 a) GDPR) You can revoke this consent at any time. To do this it is sufficient, for example, to send us an informal message by e-mail (info@asecos.com). The legality of the data processing that took place prior to the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

DOES ASECOS PASS YOUR DATA ON TO THIRD PARTIES?

When you send requests to us using the forms on our website, your data from the request form, including any contact data provided by you in the form are stored by us for the purposes of processing your request and for any possible follow-up requests.

These personal data will not be transferred by us to any third parties unless this is required in order to carry out the purpose as requested, or this is required for the purposes of processing a contract, or you have given your express consent to this effect. For example, it may be necessary for asecos to transfer your data to a specialist dealer on the request for a quote, on orders of products or for a product configuration.

WHAT RIGHTS DO YOU HAVE REGARDING YOUR DATA?

INFORMATION, BLOCKING, DELETION
As permitted by law, you have the right to be provided at any time with information free of charge about any of your personal data that is stored as well as its origin, the recipient and the purpose for which it has been processed. You also have the right to have this data corrected, blocked or deleted. You can contact us at any time using the following address if you have further questions on the topic of personal data:

GOOGLE ANALYTICS WITH THE ANONYMIZATION FEATURE

On visiting our website, your surfing behaviour can be subjected to statistical analysis. This happens mainly through use of cookies and analytics programs. Any analysis of your surfing behaviour tends to be anonymous; the surfing behaviour cannot be traced back to you individually. You can refuse to give consent to this analysis being carried out, or prevent it from occurring by not using certain tools.

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service. It is operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. This usage includes the "Universal Analytics" operating mode. This mode makes it possible for data, sessions and interactions to be associated with a single pseudonymised user ID, meaning any given user's activity across several different devices can be analysed.

Google Analytics uses "cookies". These are text files that are saved on your computer and allow for analysis to be carried out on your use of the website. Some of these files are session-based (i.e. temporary), whilst others are persistent (i.e. remain saved in your browser for a determined time period, even after it has been closed).

The information generated by the cookie on your use of the website is generally transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

Google Analytics cookies are stored based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior to optimize both its website and its advertising.

IP ANONYMIZATION
We have activated the IP anonymization feature on this website. Your IP address will be shortened by Google within the European Union or other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area prior to transmission to the United States. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address sent to a Google server in the US and shortened there. Google will use this information on behalf of the operator of this website to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide other services regarding website activity and Internet usage for the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with any other data held by Google.

OBJECTING TO THE COLLECTION OF DATA – BROWSER PLUGIN & OPT-OUT-COOKIE
You can prevent these cookies being stored by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser. However, we wish to point out that doing so may mean you will not be able to enjoy the full functionality of this website. You can also prevent the data generated by cookies about your use of the website (incl. your IP address) from being passed to Google, and the processing of these data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.

Please bear in mind that if you delete cookies in your browser settings, this may result in this opt-out cookie also being deleted, which will require re-activation by you if required.

In the browsers of mobile devices, e.g. smartphones or tablets, add-ons used to prevent user tracking by Google Analytics do not always work. If this should apply in your case, you can deactivate any future analysis of your browsing habits by Google Analytics by clicking on the following link. By clicking on the link, an “opt-out cookie” is set: this means that any future analysis of your browsing behaviour on our site will be prevented: Deactivate Google Analytics

For more information about how Google Analytics handles user data, see Google's privacy policy: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=en.

We have entered into an agreement with Google for the outsourcing of our data processing and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.

DEMOGRAPHIC DATA COLLECTION BY GOOGLE ANALYTICS
This website uses Google Analytics' demographic features. This allows reports to be generated containing statements about the age, gender, and interests of site visitors. This data comes from interest-based advertising from Google and third-party visitor data. This collected data cannot be attributed to any specific individual person. You can disable this feature at any time by adjusting the ads settings in your Google account or you can forbid the collection of your data by Google Analytics as described in the section "Refusal of data collection".

GOOGLE ADWORDS AND GOOGLE CONVERSION TRACKING

This website uses Google AdWords. AdWords is an online advertising program from Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States ("Google").

As part of Google AdWords, we use so-called conversion tracking. When you click on an ad served by Google, a conversion tracking cookie is set. Cookies are small text files that your internet browser stores on your computer. These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification of the user. Should the user visit certain pages of the website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and the website can tell that the user clicked on the ad and proceeded to that page.

Each Google AdWords advertiser has a different cookie. Thus, cookies cannot be tracked using the website of an AdWords advertiser. The information obtained using the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for the AdWords advertisers who have opted for conversion tracking. Customers are told the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a conversion tracking tag page. However, advertisers do not obtain any information that can be used to personally identify users. If you do not want to participate in tracking, you can opt-out of this by easily disabling the Google Conversion Tracking cookie by changing your browser settings. In doing so, you will not be included in the conversion tracking statistics.

Conversion cookies are stored based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior to optimize both its website and its advertising.

For more information about Google AdWords and Google Conversion Tracking, see the Google Privacy Policy: https://www.google.de/policies/privacy/.

According to information from YouTube, when in “extended data protection mode” data are only sent to the YouTube server (particularly regarding which of our webpages you have visited) when you watch the video content. If you are logged into a YouTube account at that time, this information will also be associated with your YouTube user account. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account before visiting our website. YouTube is used to help make our website appealing. This constitutes a justified interest pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
